    It was fun. The kayak to the lagoon was tedious because there were a lot of unexperienced kayakers but in fairness kayaking in the complete dark is not easy. Overall my family enjoyed it and the bioluminescence was awesome to experience.

    Unfortunately the rain somewhat spoiled what was otherwise a great experience. The tour guides were very patient and friendly.

    The planning and logistics were excellent. They picked us on time and dropped us off at right time. But the overall bio bay experience was underwhelming. It is less than my expectations. They had to put a tarp over it to feel the light.

    Even though we went on a night with a full moon, the tour operator made sure we were able to see the glowing algae. They stretched tarps over the kayaks so there was almost total darkness, then we could put our hand in the water and make it light up. It was as is sparks of light jumped at us. So cool! Captn Joe was the best, he saw I was getting tired and helped tow me back to port.

Upon arrival at Kayak Village, our team will welcome you, provide your safety gear, and guide you through a brief orientation on paddling and safe participation. Your experience begins with a calm paddle through the mangrove channel, where you will learn about the local ecosystem. As you enter the bay, you will see the natural glow created by the bioluminescent organisms with each stroke. Our guides will take you to the most visible areas so you can fully appreciate this natural phenomenon. Throughout the tour, you will hear about the science behind the bioluminescence and the importance of protecting this environment. On the return through the mangroves, our staff will assist you as you disembark and ensure a smooth conclusion to your adventure. We will then return you to your original pickup location.
