Once you have booked your session we will reach out and have a consultation to learn what knowledge, skills and abilities you are most interested in learning. Topics may include all or some of the following: 1. Gear Selection: Buying tripping gear can be overwhelming and expensive. We help you navigate this by showing and discussing various pieces of equipment, such as sleeping systems, tents, water filtration, and camp stoves. 2. Packing: Learn how and what equipment and clothing to pack. 3. Food: Learn about various back country food options. 4 Selecting & Setting up your Campsite: Learn how to be "Bear Wise" and ensure you are safe when bad weather hits. 5. Map Reading & Trip Planning: Learn the fundamentals of basic map reading route planning. 6.
