    This was hands down the highlight of our entire experience in Cartagena. Andres is very knowledgeable on the area and well-known by the vendors and local business owners you go and speak with. He gives you a truly local experience and is flexible to your interests; we finished with what must have been the BEST coffee on the island and still got various recommendations to make the rest of our stay an absolute SUCCESS!! I cannot recommend Andres enough to everyone I come across. Thank you Andres for an amazing experience!

    Andres was very easy to communicate with. Setting up the tour was seamless and he responded quickly to all my questions. He met us at our hotel in Boca Grande and was very kind and friendly. I love his passion for his community and food. We toured Bazurto Market. It was something that my fiancée and I had interest in doing since our last visit. He started our tour with a sample of fresh juices from a local juice stand outside the market. This was a great and refreshing way to start. The market was busy as any market would be but it wasn't hard to make our way around. We started then exploring the ins and outs of the market. The amount of stalls in the market would be impossible to count. Its very large. Mostly produce vendors but everything else under the sun as well. Meat, fish, spices, clothes, hardware, shoes, etc.. We ate lunch at a newer more modern restaurant on the outside of the market. They had a buffet of seafood, delicious sancocho, cold beer, fresh juices, AC and some traditional dancing as entertainment. Lunch was very satisfying and from there we went back into the market for another 45 minutes of zig zagging through hundreds of stalls. We finished the day purchasing some fresh local fruits which were delicious. Andres was very friendly, easy to talk to, kind and considerate and extremely knowledgeable. He is native to Cartagena and we felt very safe with him at all times. He also speaks English which helped as I am a gringo with a limited amount of spanish. We ended up leaving some local candies purchased in the market in Andres's bag and he was kind enough to meet us out in the old City to retrieve them. He ended up sharing free passes for a rooftop and a free beer at the clock tower. We enjoyed some more beers and conversation. Andres is not only a tour guide but will become a trusted friend in Cartagena. We look forward to returning and having Andres cook for us and enjoy another food tour around the old city. Thanks Andres!

    Andres was an incredible guide and such a fun companion taking us to all his favorite local street food vendors while sharing about the history and culture of Cartagena. It was 100% the highlight of our trip and we can’t wait to come back to try his own cooking! 1,000% must book!

    There was nothing memorable about this tour. I have gone on many food tours in many cities and must say this had the worst food tastings. There was very little history to accompany the food. Not what I expected.

    Chef Andrés was absolutely amazing. My friends and I visited from the US and wanted a personalized experience for my friends who were celebrating their birthdays. He delivered just that. He even assisted me in getting the most delicious cake from a Colombian Bakery. He was professional, kind and even took time to suggest must see places in Colombia. His food was tasty and well prepared. Don’t hesitate, just book him. You won’t regret it! Thank you chef Andrés for sharing your gift with us!     Centro Historico

    For two hours, travelers will walk with the chef and guide through various areas and sectors of the historic center of Cartagena. We will make 5 stops to taste local products, in each of these we wait approximately 15 minutes, the time that travelers will take to taste the products without haste, while the chef explains the historical and cultural values of each point. In addition to the 5 stops, we will visit attractive places such as La Zerrezuela from where you can see a wonderful view of the city, the Getsemani neighborhood, walled structures, the Plaza de San Diego and the cars, among others.
