    Taking a longtail boat made the experience feel much more local. We could slow down, enjoy the views and appreciate the beauty of Maya Bay without feeling like we were rushing through the itinerary. I'd recommend this style of tour.

    The smaller boat made the trip feel much more relaxed. We had time to enjoy the scenery instead of feeling like we were rushing from stop to stop. Snorkeling was fun, the water looked amazing, and Maya Bay was every bit as beautiful as I'd hoped.

    This was convenient because the trip started from Phi Phi and focused on snorkeling together with Maya Bay. I liked not having to add a long transfer from another island, which made the whole outing feel more straightforward. The longtail boat gave the experience a traditional character and suited the smaller-scale feel I was looking for. Space on this type of boat is naturally more limited than on a large vessel, so packing light helps. Overall, it was an enjoyable way to spend part of the day in the water while still having time left afterward.
