    This experience gave us full history of the country and we made shoes that will forever remind us of our incredible time in Curaçao. Our experience was so amazing we will back next year to do it again.

    It was so invigorating because I was VIP while doing my experience since I made my Esperanzas alone! The team at the store is a WHOLE VIBE! This was one of the best parts of my trip to be able to learn more about Curacao and create my own pair of shoes! I was not rushed when making my creation and given time to take shots and enjoy the vibe with the crew! You also get a discount to purchase another pair of shoes in the store and who has enough shoes?!?!? I highly recommend this experience to EVERYONE!

    What a wonderful experience. When you arrive they are all set up with mimosas and chips and wonderful staff members. They walk you through the history of the shoe and help you make your own pair. It takes some time, but it was worth it. If you are cruising the shop is within walking distance from the cruise port, just over the floating bridge. You will pass plenty of souvenir shops along the way to purchase items for family and friends. Don’t worry about yourself you will leave this excursion with a one of a kind item just for you!!!

    I had such a fun time learning about Curacao history and making Espadrilles. Shasan (I’m terribly sorry because I’m sure I’m spelling her lovely name incorrectly) was so sweet and a great teacher. Thank you for a great experience.

    Signed up for the shoe making class with some friends, and it was totally worth it. The ladies working the shop were super friendly, and did a great job teaching us about the history or curacao while also being great teachers when it came to making our own Espadrilles. Definitely worth visiting and taking the shoe making class while you're on the island!

    What to expect

    Curacao

    First we will meet at the Entrance Hall where we will have a some drinks while you learn about the humble origins of this show that today is considered a luxury item in the fashion world.

    Then we will learn about the different traditional materials and we will choose the different colors, sizes and styles.

    Once ready, we are going to sit down on the Workshop tables and we will design our own traditional espadrilles, and then learn the different ways to lace them up.

    To finish our lovely experience we will open a bottle of champagne, dance, take pictures with our new shoes and have fun! Each guest will leave with its own creation and with a really cool story to tell to friends, something that it is hardly available to the visitors, not even locals. A wearable memory of your visit to Curaçao.
