The tour with Junior was above and beyond anything we could have expected. A true professional in this type of work. Like others have mentioned, we probably won’t do any other tour unless it’s with him. Junior was very knowledgeable with the region and had the best recommendations for us. (Restaurants, Cafe’s, Activities, Fishing Tours, etc…)
This was a private tour which was a bonus, we didn’t have to wait for anyone and we were able to customize our day a bit. Junior brought us to a locally owned and operated restaurant overlooking the beach and coffee shop earlier on in the day which both made for a nice break during our tour. This is definitely not your overpriced, scripted, and basic resort tour but a day exploring the real Costa Rica. If I could give more stars on this tour and Junior, there would be no hesitation!

It's hard to know where to start with this review because Junior was so great. Junior is a local who was referred to us by our air bnb host. Our trip started with Junior picking us up at the airport with a car we'd rented. He drove us around to all of our activities throughout the entire week. He was personable, super knowledgeable about all things Costa Rica and so kind! He was a great guide to have for Montzuma Falls, the national reserves and an even better fisherman. He's from a long line of fisherman and it was so helpful that he was so well connected in the Santa Teresa and MalPais communities. Our next trip we'll be hiring Junior again!

Junior was an amazing guide! I had the best time exploring the different towns and he was extremely knowledgeable about the area as he is a local. Highly suggest this tour if you want a genuine feel of the area.

Zip lining was great. Yet the tour is so pricy for not providing lunch within 6 hours tour !!!

I rarely give five bubble reviews, as I always feel there is room for improvement. However, Junior is not just a tour guide, but after one day with him, we now call him a true friend. Don't do any other excursions with any other companies, just book with this really wonderful human. He is the type of person who makes you feel like everything is really OK, there are truly no worries in a new country and a foreign language (I am primarily English but understand a little Spanish) and I have certainly never done a trip on an ATV before. DO IT! I'm a prissy traveler and I loved every moment of our "Long HIke from our hotel" with Junior. He is knowledgeable about Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, Montezuma, etc., and is at your beck and call for the day. So patient and fun, I cannot say enough good things. Book a tour with him!
