Walking
From the center of Jaco, head south along Avenida Pastor Diaz until you reach the main bus station. Here, board a bus heading to Montezuma, which departs regularly throughout the day. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Montezuma, ask the driver to drop you off at the Montezuma Waterfalls Trailhead. From the bus stop, walk about 10 minutes towards the entrance of the trail, following the signs for Montezuma Waterfalls.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Jaco. Start by heading south on Avenida Pastor Diaz. Continue until you reach the intersection with Route 21. Turn left onto Route 21 and follow it, keeping an eye out for the signs towards Montezuma. The ride is approximately 24 km and will take around 1-2 hours depending on your speed. Once you reach Montezuma, look for signs directing you to the Montezuma Waterfalls Trailhead.
