    Fascinating and Insightful We did this tour with our two teenage sons, and the whole family absolutely loved it. Our guide, Pablo, was passionate, engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. He was genuinely happy to answer any question, which made the experience even more enjoyable. What we really appreciated was that Pablo never glorified the drug war. Instead, he provided an honest and thoughtful perspective that helped us understand an important part of Colombia’s identity, history, and struggles—both past and present. These are aspects you won’t find in the guidebooks but are so important if you truly want to understand Colombia. On top of that, the places Pablo took us were all fascinating and well worth visiting, many of which aren’t included in typical tourist itineraries. We came away feeling like we had truly learned something meaningful about Colombia. I recommend this tour 100%!

    This tour was an absolute eye opener! Very well structured and explained, you will finally understand everything there is to understand about the world of drugs. Starting with the 1) product, you will learn what cocaïne is and how it's made. It's not the same as the koka plant! 2) you will learn all about the history and how it could happen that the drug trafficking became so big in Colombia. 3) you will learn about the economics of the cocaine market and understand why it is such a difficult problem to solve. And 4) you will learn about the victims. This tour will change your perspective, challenge your thinking and gives you enough food for thought for years to come!

    I have been on many walking tours, but none has left such a strong impression. The knowledge, passion for discovery, and the strong, genuine involvement of Pablo, the guide, in explaining difficult concepts and creating a space for insightful discussion made a huge difference. Besides, he is a very cultured, kind, and warm person you’ll love to interact with. On this tour, I finally got to understand the complex dynamics behind the conflicts in Colombia, which caused immense mental and physical damage. If there is one tour you have time to join, this is it. I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend it.

    Phenomenal tour. If you want genuine insight, knowledge and inspiration into the history of Colombia and what its culture is comprised of then you have to go on this tour. Doing a basic communa 13 tour can be just set up for tourist. This tour invites genuine conversation and discussion around difficult but important topics. If you want a true glimpse into Colombian culture, its people and history you really should chat with Pablo and his team.

Our guide, Pablo, a local who knows his stuff and really great storyteller, managed to blend history, politics, economics, and the real pain of the victims, in a way that kept us very engaged. It kicked off with the coca leaf’s ancient roots, then—boom!—how it turned into a global mess with serious consequences. No glorifying nonsense, just raw, well-researched truth bombs. Walking through hidden city corners, feeling their heavy history, completely changed how I see Medellín and the whole “war on drugs” circus. It’s not just one guy—it’s the whole messed-up puzzle. if you want a tour that smashes stereotypes, gets you talking, and sticks in your head, this is the one.
