What to expect
Beeston Canal
Learn the story behind the canals and see how they have been transformed in the modern day. Stand on the spot of a massive explosion that shook half of the city!
At the heart of the old town, where the market used to be and at the entrance to the lanes and streets of old Nottingham.
A wonderfully atmospheric pub in a restored old church.
St. Mary's Church
Perhaps the most historic church in Nottingham and one rich in the legends of Robin Hood.
The Lace Market
Nottingham is famous for many things but historically it was always renowned for its lace. We will explore the old streets and lanes and learn the history of the old city itself.
Queen of Hockley
Hockley is the most vibrant part of central Nottingham, often compared to Soho in London. The Queen of Hockley was only refurbished in April 2025 but fear not, the building is old and atmospheric!
Dominated by its magnificent old town hall, the Old Market Square is about 13,000 sq feet, one of the largest city squares anywhere. Host to lots of local events and with shopping streets fanning out in all directions and trams nipping by. Home to several icons of Nottingham and also to some incredible history that even many locals just walk right over without noticing.
One of several contenders to the oldest pub in Nottingham, this one full of character and tucked away off the oldest market square and rich in history.
Many locals don't even know this is here. The only surviving and visible ruins of the old medieval walls that once stretched more than a mile around the city.
Standard Hl
Stand on the spot where the English Civil war effectively started when King Charles I planted his Royal Standard above Nottingham Castle.
We'll pass by the picturesque gatehouse to one of the world most famous castles. Watch out for the Sheriff!
Right by the walls of Nottingham Castle is the iconic statue of Robin Hood.
An old Crusader pub, hence the name. One of the very oldest pubs anywhere and partially built into the rock under Nottingham Castle.
Canalhouse
How many pubs do you know with a canal and boats docked inside it? Another truly unique pub, learn a brief history of canals and their importance to Nottingham and the country whilst having a drink!
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
