    Stephen is extremely well versed in all things historical and is also very personable. We had a fun tour around town visiting four pubs with a drink included at each stop. He had anecdotes about the pubs’ history and also lesser-known facts about the town I grew up in. Entertaining for locals and visitors - a perfect balance of history and beer! We look forward to doing another one of Stephen’s tours in the future. Especially as he is totally open to customize any tour to suit your interest and the price is very reasonable.

    Stephen is an absolute delight! He is full of a wealth of knowledge and tells funny stories. We celebrated my Dads birthday doing the pub tour of Oakham and through Stephen it’s come to be one of our favourite locations. Because we enjoyed Stephen so much we will be doing more of his tours when we are in town. We highly recommend anything he runs….you won’t be disappointed!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Oakham and benefitted from Stephen’s excellent guide skills and organisation as we visited some local hostelries full of atmosphere, friendly welcomes and plenty of history. So wonderful to be able to visit the Norman castle hall as part of the tour and to hear so much about the local area. Stephen was great company to be with and is a true fountain of all knowledge; imparting an amazing array of facts about the local location but also general historical information related to what we were seeing.
