Hurghada City Tour

We did this Hurghada city tour yesterday with my husband and two kids (8 and 3) and honestly it was one of the best experiences of our holiday. Our guide was Zezo and he made it special from start to finish. From the moment I booked he messaged me on WhatsApp to introduce himself, then again when he was heading to the hotel. He even came 20 minutes earlier than arranged and just waited for us until we were ready, no pressure at all. That already gave me such a good impression. On the way into Hurghada he started telling us about the history of the city, but also about everyday life in Egypt, little things you would never read in a guidebook. It didn’t feel like a “tour speech” at all, it was a real conversation. Our first stop was the mosque and it was stunning. Zezo explained the traditions and customs in such a clear way, and I really appreciated it because it made the visit much more meaningful. From there we went to the big fish market and this was such a highlight for my kids. They loved picking up and looking at all the different fish, and the locals were so friendly, they made it funny for the children and even joined in showing them different fish. It felt warm and genuine. Next we went to the Marina, which is beautiful and lively. We saw it at night around 8:30pm, and the lights made it feel magical. After that, Zezo took us to the old part of Hurghada and this was my favourite. Because he grew up there, he knew every corner and explained the area so well. He asked what we were interested in buying, guided us to the right shops, and even negotiated for us. He was completely genuine, telling us which markets were overpriced tourist traps and which were fair. That honesty really stood out. We finished the evening at a small hidden local coffee shop that we never would have found ourselves. They had such unique coffees, nut, strawberry, mango, and it was the perfect way to end the night. Throughout the tour Zezo kept buying little snacks and drinks for us which was so thoughtful. What I loved most was how Zezo made us feel. He’s funny, friendly, energetic, and at the same time very caring. He made us feel safe, welcomed, and like we were hanging out with a friend rather than being on a tour. My kids loved him too, which says a lot. I don’t usually write reviews, especially not long ones, but I felt I had to because this tour was that good and Zezo really deserves the recognition. If you’re thinking about doing it, don’t hesitate, it’s not just a city tour, it’s an experience that makes you feel part of the real Hurghada.

Fantastic tour. We were picked up from the hotel and straight away started to learn about everyday Egyptian life. We went to see a panoramic view of the city followed by a trip to the mosque, the marina and then the old city. Each part was amazing and totally at our pace. We went with our 5 year old daughter and she loved it. The coffee at the end was fantastic, 10 out 10 would recommend this tour to learn about Hurghada.

Beautiful afternoon with Zezu. From the care to the return , he was full of little attention , anxious to share us the lives of Egyptians. We learned a lot about Hurghada and Egypt more generally.
