Behind the beach, posh seafood restaurants, mellow cafes and cocktail bars with patios overlook the promenade. Nearby, Promenade Mall has boutiques selling fashion and beachwear, while the intimate Theatre on the Bay stages drama, musicals and comedy.
Hout Bay is the base port to rich marine life and offers some of the finest yellowfin tuna, longfin tuna, and yellowtail fishing in the world along with a huge variety of pelagic sea birds with many different species been sighted at different times of the year. You have the option to add onto to the Peninsula experience, a ± 40 Minute cruise to a small island situated off the coast of Hout Bay, where you will see a small colony of seals occupying the island at your own cost. The harbour has restaurants, fresh fish outlets and craft stores, with views of the bay and boat rides to Duiker Island and around The Sentinel. The Hout Bay Harbour market happens offers handmade arts and crafts that can be bought, and a range of foods is available.
Chapman's Peak
Our next stop will be Chapman's peak where we will stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. Then drive down a spectacular road with a spectacular view.
Noordhoek Farm Village
An optional stop in Noordhoek farm village, which offers a tranquil farm atmosphere. Travelers will have the option to choose to eat from the various restaurants on site. enjoy some of the best coffee brewed in in the Deep South.
Next stop, The Cape of Good Hope is at the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula, about 2.3 kilometers (1.4 mi) west and a little south of Cape Point on the south-east corner. This is the most Southern West point of Africa. With its diverse habitat, ranging from rocky mountain tops to beaches and open sea, the Cape of Good Hope is home to at least 250 species of birds including one of the two mainland colonies of African penguins, baboon and rare antelope called Bontebok.
Old Cape Point Lighthouse
Next to Cape Point, where you will have a choice between a 15-minute hike or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse.
Boulders Penguin Colony is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated. It is in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon's Town towards Cape Point. It is a popular place due to the colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982. These African penguins are only found on the coastlines of Southern Africa - (South Africa & Namibia). One of the only places in the world that you can swim alongside penguins.
Jubilee Square & Jetty, Simon's Town
Scenic square offering water views, restaurants & shops, plus a crafts market & monuments. You could have lunch here if you choose not to have lunch at Cape Point, there are about 3 different restaurant.
Muizenberg Beach
Muizenburg is famous for its rows brightly coloured Victorian beach changing huts. being one of the best surfing and body-boarding spots on the Cape Peninsula thanks to consistent waves. Muizenburg is also a suitable beach to learn to surf as the waves are known for their consistency rather than their size. The sleepy town of Muizenburg is still lined with the mansions of its Victorian glory days past and the beach has good facilities, a visitor centre, shops, restaurants and adventure and surf activity operators. It’s also a great beach for children, with warmer water that can reach a balmy 22 deg in summer and generally calm waters. The long beach is also well patrolled by lifeguards.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
