The bus will take you directly to Hout Bay, and the journey will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. You will arrive at the Hout Bay bus terminus, which is within walking distance to the beach and local shops.

    For a more local experience, you can take a minibus taxi to Hout Bay. Head to the taxi rank at the bottom of Long Street. Look for taxis heading to Hout Bay; these are often marked on the front of the taxi. Once you find one, board the taxi and pay the driver as you enter, usually around 20 ZAR. The ride can take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off close to the main area of Hout Bay, from where you can easily walk to the beach or local shops.
