    Visited the prison when on a break in the local area and so glad we did. Loved the fact it was an audio tour and could take this at your own pace and throughly engross yourself on the full experience. The audio was very informative as was some of the exhibits dotted along the tour route. It was great to see how things changed over time within the prison walls. If visiting the area then this is a must on the todo list

    This was a really informative and interesting experience. The audio headset let us go at our own pace and hearing recordings of some of the former staff made it real. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cafe was good value and spotless. It was a great value experience and highly recommended.

    This is my third third visit here and my second with my grandson who is 10. We thoroughly enjoyed it. More so this time as he is older now and has a better understanding of what it must have been like to be locked away for a long period of time. You get headphones at the start which explains every step of your tour. A very interesting piece of history and I hope the museum will always be a part of Peterhead. There is a lovely café at the end serving drinks, cakes, snacks etc and there is also toilet facilities. Would highly recommend.

    Incredibly helpful staff, and wow, what a place! ! It’s a totally immersive tour which vividly engages all of your senses. II unnerves you and you can’t fail to be moved by the stories of both the inmates and the wardens . The experience lingers in your mind log after you leave the prison gates. Can’t recommend highly enough!
