What to expect
We will cross the longest suspension bridge of Chile, the "Presidente Ibañez" Bridge, created by Eiffel, who did also the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Puerto Aisen
Puerto Aysén is an old city located in the Aysén del General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Region, 4 kilometres (2 mi) above the head of Aisén Fjord. Include 5 minutes of transportation.
Bahia Acantilada
Bahia Acantilada with a wonderful view of the glaciers of the Andes, which present themselves mayestätisch around us. Also here there is a lot to photograph. Include 5 minutes of transportation.
Aisen Region
Fantasma Lagoon. At the "Ghost Lagoon" you can get an idea of how the region looked like in the middle of the last century, after it was almost completely destroyed by fire
From here we return to the only paved road heading east. After about 15 minutes we turn onto an off-road route of about 10 km through the unique Pangal valley, which was once a glacier, with the destination of the waterfall "Cascada del leon". The weather in Patagonia is very changeable and it is difficult to calculate, but this also means an incredible variety of colors. The flora and fauna are clearly in the foreground here. Include 20 minutes of transportation.
Chilean Patagonia
Now we go back to the main road, where we visit the "Ghost Lagoon", so you can get an idea of how the region looked like in the middle of the last century, after it was almost completely destroyed by fire! Following the path of the pioneers, we will now go to a tradition that only exists here, the Patagonian ASADO, a special kind of barbecue. Here you will be served, very typical, lamb from the spit and everything what the fertile earth gives. Potatoes, salad and of course sopaipillas, a delicious Chilean small starter made of dough. Here you get one of the most beautiful insights into the local culture and the habits of rural population, the Campesinos. On the way back we cross the oldest suspension bridge of the region on foot (it is not dangerous at all!!) and take some more pictures of this incredible landscape. Finally, we visit "Los Coipos Lagoon" and say goodbye to the song of the Chucao, one of, if not the most typical bird of Patagonia. Include 20 minutes driving and 20 back.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
