Preah Vihear temple is located on the Cambodian-Thai border. It sits on top of a 525-meter cliff in the heart of the Dangrek Mountain. There has been a dispute in recent years over the ownership of the temple, however it was recently ruled by the International Court of Justice that it belongs to Cambodia. It’s a stunning temple and was a favourite of the Khmer Kings as it was frequently upgraded and added to. It’s now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The way to the temple is very steep the view is out of this world when you get to the top.

Koh Ker is a remote archaeological site in northern Cambodia. The site is about two and half hours away from Siem Reap, and the ancient site of Angkor. Koh Ker is the modern name for an important city of the Khmer empire. In inscriptions the town is mentioned as Lingapura (city of lingams). Under the reign of the kings Jayavarman IV and Harshavarman II Koh Ker was briefly the capital of the whole empire (928–944 AD). Temples : Prasat Thom, Prasat Pram, Prasat Nean Khmao, Prasat Damrei, Preasat Linga. The site of Koh Ker was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
