What to expect
Pollok Country Park has a heard of about 50 Hightland Coos . The park is the largest park in Glasgow at 361 acres with more than 6 miles (11 km) of woodland trails. The park was formerly part of the Old Pollok Estate and it contains Pollok House, which was built in 1752 and was the ancestral home of the Maxwell family. However, the Maxwell family’s roots in Pollok Country Park go back even farther, to the 13th century.
You will stop at a scenic spot on Loch Lomond, which provides excellent opportunity for photos, as well as access to gift shops, restrooms, and cafes. There's access to boat tours on the loch, which can be booked in advance and last up to one hour.
Rest and be Thankful
You will stop at a breathtaking spot for photo opportunities of panoramic views of Scotland's scenery. This is the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and snap some memorable photos of the area's natural beauty.
Inveraray Castle & Gardens
You will be dropped off at the entrance of Inveraray Castle, where you can embark on a self-guided tour of the castle and its gardens. You can immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of both Scottish and British history. Advanced booking is not required, however to enter the castle there is a charge per person. Open Thursday to Monday (closed Tuesday & Wednesday) from 7th April to 28th October. Admission: £10 per adult for gardens, £18 per adult for gardens and Castle.
You will stop at a scenic spot ideal for capturing stunning photographs of Kilchurn Castle, a structure dating back to the mid-1400s.
St Conan's Kirk
St Conan’s Kirk, nestled in the picturesque village of Lochawe, captivates visitors from around the world. This structure stands out not only for its architectural beauty but also for the serene atmosphere that envelops it. The Kirk is a unique architectural gem that showcases a variety of styles, including Norman and Gothic elements. The surrounding gardens provide stunning views of Loch Awe.
Oban
Explore charming gift shops and cozy cafes, as well as ascend to the famous McCaig's Tower, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Oban and the isle of Mull on a clear day. An optional visit to Dunstaffnage Castle is also available.
Castle Stalker
Castle Stalker – in the Gaelic, Stalcaire, meaning Hunter or Falconer – is believed originally to have been the site of a Fortalice (a small fortified building) belonging to the MacDougalls when they were Lords of Lorn, and built around 1320. The MacDougalls lost their title after their defeat by King Bruce at Brander Pass in 1308 but regained it for a period after 1328. In about 1388 the Lordship of Lorn passed to the Stewarts, the lands including Castle Stalker.
Glencoe
You will make multiple stops in and around Glencoe, providing many photo opportunities. Capture stunning views of the iconic Three Sisters and immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscape of the Highlands.
Rannoch Moor
You will stop at Rannoch Moor, a breathtaking 50-square-mile expanse in the Scottish Highlands. With fantastic photo opportunities, you can enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this remarkable area, perfect for capturing the essence of Scotland's wilderness.
Loch Tulla, a stunning freshwater lake located in the heart of Scotland. Situated between the towns of Tyndrum and Bridge of Orchy, this beautiful body of water is surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery that makes it one of the most picturesque place to take in the view.
You will stop at the Falls of Falloch car park. From there, a 5 minute walk leads you to the stunning Falls of Falloch, where the River Falloch falls in a single leap of about 10 meters. A fantastic photo opportunity.
