    Even (and especially) with the rain, this horseback riding excursion was such a special treat! It poured on my husband and me and our guides were so gracious and helpful (offering to carry our items so our belongings could stay dry). We appreciated that this was rain or shine because we got to experience the island in an entirely different light--the rain made the excursion romantic- it's not every day you get to horseback ride on the beach, in the rain! We visited some beautiful beaches with lots of vegetation along the way. You do have to horseback on the street for a short bit but the guides make you feel safe at all times and it's very brief. I always felt like I was in good hands with them. Not only that but Nicole, the owner, was a delight- she picked us up from the meeting point and was so sweet and passionate about her horses. You can tell she really loves what she does! Best of all she brought her golden retriever Max who is adorable and we met her other sweet pup Fendi! If you're a dog lover like we are, this is a major perk! Would definitely recommend this activity for a unique experience!

    We booked a 90 minute excursion for 4 adults and 3 children (ages 6,7 & 8). We all had a wonderful morning and Nicole was amazing with all the children. Beautiful trail through the forest led to a beautiful beach. I highly recommend visitng Rancho Playa and Nicole's recommendation for lunch nearby was superb.

    Such an amazing ride! Nicole was such a great guide and balanced prioritizing safety and a good time! She was very knowledgeable of things to do around the area as well and was able to point us on the direction of other fun things to do. Many horse we have seen around DR have been emancipated and terrible looking, but Nicole’s horses were so beautiful and well cared for and you could tell how passionate she was about them. We had such a fun time doing this, and the beach was absolutely beautiful!

    The day I went for a rancho Playa horse trek was one of the best days I had on my DR trip. I felt really well taken care of. The ranch owner is an incredible person who really cares about her animals. She is kind and helpful and even picked me up from my hotel as i was on my own and wasn’t sure how to get there. My guide was really great and took me to the most beautiful beaches. I had a truly wonderful day and cannot recommend this place enough.

    Such a wonderful & serene experience! The booking was very straightforward and communication from Nichole was efficient and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our horseback riding, the sights, sounds & smells of the beautiful nature was delightful. The horses are well looked after and the tour includes supportive guides to help you - would highly recommend this excursion

    Board a vehicle for transportation to the stables. Upon arrival, disembark to meet your expert horse guides. Listen to a short safety briefing and overview of the ride to come, then get fitted for a helmet. The guides will pick a horse for you based on your size and experience level. This adventure is suitable for guests of all levels; both expert and novice riders are welcome.  Climb onto your gentle, friendly horse and get started down the trail. Follow your guide through the Samana's Peninsula, a landscape very different than the beaches of the tourist zone. Along the trail, discovery mango, coffee, cocoa and other trees,   arrive at the "Alleman"  beach. Let's ride along this wild beach and see the lush vegetation of the country. This is a walking pace tour, for riders of different levels share this adventure. Enjoy a provided refreshment at the conclusion of your 1.5-hour ride, then return to Las Terrenas.
