    Last week, we enjoyed a wonderful food tour with Midori (Green). She took us to 3 food places and a fun photo spot with Nikka (kind of a patron saint of Sapporo). :D I doubt we would have stumbled across any of these places on our own. Due to a cancellation, we ended up having a "private tour" and it was like meeting a new friend. Midori was excited and proud to share with us aspects of Japanese culture & the language over the course of "secret food spots" in the Susukino area of Sapporo. Midori's English is excellent and she helped make parts of Japan more accessible to us only-English speakers. :D My favorite dishes were the grilled atka mackerel and soft tofu--amazing! We also had talked a lot about the famous Yubari melon and after the tour, she found a slice for us and found us in the underground walkway to share it with us. Something that's different from other food tours is that Midori took several photos along the way and shared them with us so we could focus on the food. :D Highly recommend this friendly food tour!

    Best part of the tour was the local insight from our host Ayumi! She was fun and personable! She took us to places we would never have gone! I would definitely recommend!

    We visited 3 places for fooad and drinks with Ayumi. It was a very fun evening, with good conversation and local insight, go to places we would never have found on out own. Thank Ayumi!

    My guide was Ayumi and she was great fun. I liked that when she found out I liked Jazz we immediately headed to a jazz bar. She knew the owner there and we had a great night. Ayumi is easy to talk to and whether it is Jazz or karaoke she is a great guide. Highly recommended!

    Pass by Odori Park, located in the central district of Sapporo Odori Park is an oasis in an office district surrounded by 92 species of lilacs, haru elms, and other 4,700 trees. Visitors and residents alike enjoy relaxing on the lawn and around the fountain. Odori Park is actually a road, although it is called a park. 1871 (Meiji 4), a firebreak line dividing the center of Sapporo from north to south was built, which became a road called Goshidori, and the name was changed to Odori. Normally a place of relaxation and recreation, it is also the site of some of Hokkaido's most famous events. Stretching from east to west, Odori Park is divided into 12 blocks from 1-chome to 12-chome, each block separated by a pedestrian crossing. The distance from one end of Odori Park to the other is about 1.5 km, and it takes about 30 minutes to walk.
