    De Sellaronda is een heel mooi skigebied met ongekend veel skiliften, afdalingen en pistes als er maar genoeg sneeuw ligt is het prachtig. Als Oostenrijk fan moet ik wel bekennen dat de duidelijkheid van pistes en aansluitingen in Oostenrijk veel duidelijker weerggeven worden dan in Italië het zou helpen als ze op een 1-duidige manier pistes en routes aangeven, de ene keer is het een afdalingsnummer dan een plaatsje in het dal dan een skilift of bergstation. Alles went maar als je dat voor het eerst doet dan is de duidelijkheid die je gewent was toch wel prettiger. Op sommige plekken de meest fantastische liften en dan weer moet je staan in een ei-vormige cabine of zitten in lange onoverdekte liften. Dat kan beter. Maar overall prachtig gelegen zo tussen die dolomieten.

    Today we spent a fantastic day in the company of Giovanni who accompanied us to do the Sellaronda starting from Corvara. Giovanni is a very competent, helpful and attentive guide. It took us where we certainly will not have arrived alone, always making sure that the itinerary was both in our abilities but also to our taste. Helped by him and a wonderful weather we spent an unforgettable day in the Dolomites, thank you!

    Giovanni was a great guide and a really nice person with good energy. He knows the territory in the deepest possible way. He moved at my pace and we skied a ton. We did the entire Sella Ronda and more! It happened to be a perfect day and he knew all of the best views and places to take pictures. Even the places we stopped for a snack and for lunch were spectacular. I would highly recommend him as a guides and for this activity. I will definitely share his contact information with anybody I know who is coming to the Dolomites.

    (For your information) If you're skiing in the centre of Serralonda, our recommendation for accommodation is Corvara. The local ski map for the Serralonda tour, both orange and green, also starts from the Corvara lift or gondola. From Venice, it's farther than Aarbba, but if you're asking for a pick-up, I don't think the price will change much. Also, if you're going to Cortina d'Ampezzo or any other ski area (aside from not caring too much about the time), you might want to hire a car, as it's more expensive to take a taxi, depending on the weather conditions at the time (I had a front-wheel drive car, but it was fine, so I drove straight back to Venice). The quality of the snow here is partly due to the fact that the artificial snow machine covers the small amount of snowfall, which makes my feet tired from icy. Just because the course is well maintained (?) The Cobb slopes are scarce.

    An incredible ski tour on foot to visit the most beautiful valleys and the most impressive peaks of the Dolomites, a UNESCO natural heritage site. During the day we will walk a different track each time and take all different lifts, for a real loop ride. After every bend, different and always beautiful landscapes await us, immersed in a dream panorama! And for lunch how can you not be tempted by the genuine typical dishes that only local mountain huts can prepare? In short, an experience that every skier who visits the Dolomites cannot miss! What are you still waiting for? Put on your boots, hook up your skis, put on your helmet: here we go! To participate in the tour you need to know how to safely ski easy slopes (blue) and ibtermedie (red). The tour takes about 6 hours. Skipass Dolomiti Superski compulsory.
