At first visit Buddhanilkanta or Narayanthan, a Hindu temple with statue of sleeping Lord Vishnu on bed of serpent within a small pond, from here short ride to reach at the entrance of Shivapuri National Park. From the park entrance with two route options one leads towards Nagi Gompa (a monastery of Buddhist Nun) then head for steep climb to reach top of Shivapuri Hill. The other main route after entering Shivapuri National Park climb within forested area, as walk progress reaching on top of Shivapuri hill the highest sopt at 2,540 m high, with fantastic views of high snow capped peaks of Manaslu, Ganesh with Langtang and Jugal mountain range.
