We got the bus from Kraków to Auschwitz and the journey there was great. It was easy to find the bus, the process was straightforward, and it was not very full which made it comfortable.
However, the return journey was extremely stressful because we were given incorrect information by a TripAdvisor advisor. We were specifically told it was a round trip service and that we could simply get whichever coach we wanted back.
This information was wrong.
When it came time to return, we waited for the coach as instructed, only to be told that we were not on the passenger list. We were advised to contact the coach company and only then did we discover that you must purchase separate tickets for both directions. This was never explained by TripAdvisor and because of their incorrect advice, we were left standing in freezing temperatures trying to sort it out.
After being up since 5am, travelling all day, and spending six hours at Auschwitz which is already emotionally draining, this added stress at the end of the day was completely unacceptable and could easily have left us stranded.
The coach company itself was helpful, professional and apologised on TripAdvisor’s behalf. Thankfully, a kind bus driver allowed us to buy tickets directly from him so we could get back. Without that, we genuinely could have been stuck.
TripAdvisor needs to take responsibility for this. Their advisors should not be giving out incorrect transport information, especially when travellers are relying on it in a foreign country. This kind of misinformation is not a minor mistake. It causes unnecessary panic, wastes time, and puts travellers at risk of being stranded.
I have attached a screenshot of the TripAdvisor advisor giving this incorrect advice.
This is the reason for the 2 stars. The coach company itself would get 5 stars.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We showed up early, in the exact pickup spot noted on our voucher. Not only was this shuttle not there... But the ticket agents at the station had no idea what shuttle this was or who the company was.
We tried to call the phone number provided on the voucher but it went to voicemail. We also tried to message through the viator app, but they were unreachable there also. Finally, Viator's customer service also tried to reach them with no success.
Save your money, and just buy a regular train ticket.

0740 bus never arrived. Therefore we had to spend £70 getting a taxi to Auschwitz to make our booked guided tour. Bus station said that there wasn’t a bus scheduled for that time. Phone line didn’t work and no response to messages.

Bought a return ticket Krakow-Auschwitz but on the return our name was not shown and to return to Krakow we had to pay again. On the way out the bus was at 7:40 but left at 7:10, fortunately we were early. Both drivers very rude and over-*****. Bad experience, classic tourist scam.
