    We had a wonderful time. Isaac was a great guide. The beaches were beautiful. The hike was moderate. I recommend wearing your swimsuit as there are no places to change and shoes you don’t mind getting wet. The fresh fruit towards the end of the hike was delicious. I highly recommend this tour.

    After the bus ride up, the tour starts with a quick boat ride to the first beach. From there you hike on a block stone path (a bit challenging depending on your hiking level) through a jungle environment that stays mostly along the coast and beautiful walks on beaches as well. Recommend shoes with traction and a towel to dry feet if you choose to swim or soak feet. It ends at a beachfront seafood restaurant. Tasty food. A boat takes you back to the public bus. This was a fun excursion and recommened if you like moderate hikes.

    The bus ride is long, crowded, and hot. That's the worse part of it. You need to be in decent shape for the hike. Bring at least a liter of water for each person. A pack with swim gear and towel is recommended. The beaches are nice and it ends at a good restaurant on the beach. It was an enjoyable day and well worth it.

    This tour was AMAZING! Guillermo and Diego were our tour guides. From the very beginning they were very kind and engaging. They provided a lot of information about the area. The hike was pretty easy, although the trail can be a bit steep at times. The views were incredible. The bus ride was fun! There was a group of “brides maids” and a “bridezilla” who were complaining the whole time. They held up the tour on several occasions, were disrespectful to the guides and fellow tour companions. They even played loud music on the beach. We were all given the same options to either take the bus back or pay a little bit extra to take a water taxi, and then stop at “Los Arcos National Park”. The bridezilla group obnoxiously got drunk at the restaurant and elected to take the bus back to town, whereas we chose to do the water taxi - and it was amazing! Guillermo and Diego took a lot of photos of us at Los Arcos, there we got to swim and feed the fish. It was surprising when we returned that the bridezilla groupgroup showed up at the pier on a different water taxi. Th he were accusing the guides of abandonment - which couldn’t be further from the truth as we were all explicitly given the same options multiple times. It was quite unfortunate that the bridezilla group behaved this way. They even went so far as to attempt to start an unprovoked physical fight in front of a whole pier full of people who seemed quite shocked by this behavior. Several of them needed to be escorted away from the pier area due to their malicious and horrible behavior. Despite this little incident which no one could have foreseen happening, the tour was amazing and so were the guides who maintained their professional demeanor while ensuring the safety of the other tour patrons who were being attacked by these bridezillas. All we could do was just laugh it off and feel sorry for the future husband of the horrible bridezilla who should be ashamed of herself.

    We had a fantastic day thanks to our guide Issac and the great group we where sharing the adventure with! Colomitos was our first stop and it did not disappoint. The colour of the water and the beach is beautiful. The water was very refreshing after completing the first part of our hike, which was moderately challenging as described. Issac was a fantastic guide giving our group stops along the way to rest if needed and to point out the local flora and fauna. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and was open and eager to share information about the area and culture and was genuine in his interest in getting to know the people in the group. Highlights were meeting new people and exploring a new area, swimming and floating at Colomitos, and the stop for drinks at Playa Caballo. There is nothing better than fresh coconut water on a hot day!

    What to expect

    We’ll meet up at the Romantic zone. There we´ll take a sweet ride on public transportation just like the locals do. It’s a 25 min ride along the coast, where you’ll get to see most of the southern beaches of PV. After the ride, we’ll get to a small fishing town call Boca de Tomatlán (first beach) where we’ll start our adventure. Then we’ll be hiking approx. 30 min to the smallest beach known in Mexico (A hot spot for people visiting PV). After a refreshing bath, we’ll make our way to the next 4 beaches including my favorite (you will love it). Finally hiking through the jungle and beaches we’ll make our way to our final destination Las Animas beach. Where you’ll get to try great seafood like you haven’t tried in PV yet. (the food in the restaurant is not included). To put the cherry on the cake WE´LL MAKE OUR WAY BACK BY BOAT TO WHERE WE STARTED HIKING and then take the city bus to Puerto Vallarta. Total hiking distance: 3.6km (2.3 miles) From 9:30am - 4pm *PLEASE READ* This hike is 2.6 miles although it is labeled as Moderately Strenuous hike. NOT FOR PHYSICAL UNCONDITIONED PEOPLE (injured, with surgeries, not in good shape/health, etc).
