    Cool night tour with tour guide Shawn. It was fun and you had breathtaking views of the skyline and the lights.

    We did 8pm bus for the nighttime tour. It was the perfect way to spend the evening after walking and dealing with the heat all day. Shawn was our tour guide. He was down to earth, knowledgeable and told groan worthy jokes that everyone enjoyed. An audio tour would not have been the same. The tour was 100% family friendly so don’t worry about that aspect. Shawn was great - my 8 year old endlessly asked him questions that he answered with the patience of Job. A few tips. Arrive 15-20 minutes before tour is supposed to start. Seats are first come first serve!! There were several people who were upset they didn’t get ideal seats 2 minutes before we left. Be a bit patience. The drivers are amazing but are at the whim of traffic. Times Square was very congested and took us a bit to get through but it was fine since we had a nice breeze and plenty to gawk at around us. I found the tour on Groupon and saved a bunch of money. Groupon will give you a code that you need to redeem through the company app to reserve a time and date. Employees from this company (and others) are all over the streets near Times Square so if you struggle with technology tickets can be obtained in person, but it won’t save you money like Groupon can. Bring a camera, a bottle of water and a raincoat if there is a chance of rain.
