    We tood the 2 hour Somers bay kayaking tour. I was a beautiful day on the northern end of the lake. Our guide ( & company owner) Justin was very knowledgeable about area, pointing out birds & telling history from around the area. It was calm & relaxing. Paddled to small island & got to get out of kayaks & swim a bit. Calm easy paddle, highly recommend.

    Our kayak tour was the last night on a 40th birthday trip for my husband. We were originally supposed to do a trip at Whitefish Lake, but due to low water we had to make the switch to Flathead. Justin was quick to email and ask if we were willing to switch, but also offered a refund. We chose to switch and amazingly it was just my husband and I with Justin. He was very informative about how to use the kayak and made me less nervous being out in the water. He told us the history of the lake and about the wildlife which I really enjoyed hearing about. He was talkative, friendly, and funny. We were able to stop on a little island and he took pictures of my husband and I with the lake as a backdrop along with some in our kayaks. Afterwards, my husband said he was really glad that I booked it because he really had a great time (so did I)! Thanks Justin for a great first time in the Kayak and yes, my arms were sore the next day! LOL.

    Somers Bay is stunning! Derek was a good guide, but we were only able to stay pretty close to the Bay Area of the lake because the wind was significant, The tour was listed as two and a half hours but ours was only an hour. Not sure if this was because of the weather? Would love to come back on a better day when we could really get out there!

    My cousin and I visited Flathead in August with perfect weather and no mosquitos. We lucked out and toured the lake with Sea Me Paddle’s owner, who gave us an interesting historical overview of the area and the lake. We paddled for 1.5 hours but I could have stayed out on the water for several more hours! It was beautiful and calming. Thanks to Justin for a great experience during our visit.

    Leave extra time coming from the south due to road construction. Surf socks or waterproof sandals are useful. But they have ‘em for sale in the shop. Absolutely worth the trip from Missoula, Kalispel, or Glacier.
