    This is a very nice experience I can highly recommend when visiting the area around Vik. You will walk on the glacier itself and enjoy the views. Our guide was also very informative and gave us a lot of interesting information about the glacier. It takes some time to get going as everyone has to get fitted with the equipment and then they teach us how to walk with the cramp-ons. Then, we basically walk up the glacier, spend some time at the top taking in the view and some pictures, then walk back down again. I would recommend you bring hiking boots that are above your ankles and some gloves, otherwise you will have to rent the boots from them. They do have some lost and found gloves you can borrow though.

    We were supposed to do the Small Group Glacier hike plus Zodiac boat at Glacier Lagoon. Our boat cancelled on us last minute, but the Glacier Hike was fantastic! Our guide Tin did a great job teaching us about the area and the Glacier. Felt safe and he kept it moving since he knew that is what our group was going for - next time we would level up. Loved seeming the glacier up close. The boat was a bummer, but the Glacier Hike was a win! 🏔🙌

    Our wonderful (and patient) guide made this experience fun and safe, while teaching us a bit about how glaciers work and their history. The glacier itself is spectacular!! What an honor to walk on top of this black and white marvel! (Trust the crampons!)

    We were uncertain what to expect, but our guides helped to make this a highlight of our trip. They were helpful with assisting us as a family and made sure we had were able to enjoy together. Incredible experience that gave us a true feel of Iceland.

    This was a fantastic experience! Our guide, Angie, was delightful. She was a wealth of information about the glacier and its features. She provided clear instructions for safety and success. Overall, it was amazing!!! To note: if you are on in years and have achy knees, this might take a toll due to the way to walk on the ice with crampons.
