Crystal clear waters and sea breeze are ideal for a short stop before starting the ascent to the castle that stands out in the green valley perched on a rock. Monolithos Castle, built on a 236m high monolith to which it owes its name, was never conquered thanks to its position. Today only some external parts of the fortifications and two chapels from the 15th century remain, as well as the breathtaking view of Akramitis, the island of Halki and the vast blue Aegean. After sunset, the walk takes us back to the village accompanied by dusk.
