    Tom is every experienced tour guide. We learned a lot about some hiking advises, historical infos and some best places to check around the area. He made us all at ease despite the bad condition of the weather and always update us on the plan. We will definitely come back and look for him as our tour guide!

    I recently spent three days in Snowdonia, with plans to head back home on Sunday due to the long drive. While searching Google for hiking tips, I stumbled upon Mountain Xperience's website and discovered their sunrise hike. Unfortunately, all the dates I was available were fully booked, except for Sunday. At first, I hesitated to book it because it would mean a very tiring day with a 5-hour drive afterward. But since I love a good challenge, I decided to go for it. As it turned out, I was incredibly lucky that I could only book the hike on Sunday. The weather earlier in the weekend was foggy and rainy, which wouldn’t have been as enjoyable. Even though the conditions added to the challenge, it was still a beautiful experience. The hike began at 1:45 AM when I met our guide, Simon, and a group of other amazing people. Simon made sure we had everything we needed, including checking our lights. We waited a bit for one person who didn't show up, and then we set off at 2:00 AM. Simon knew a secret, easier route to start the hike, which saved us some energy. It was a tough walk, and I often found myself at the front, pushing hard to get through the difficult parts quickly. Meanwhile, Simon was very patient, staying with those who took a slower pace and encouraging everyone. He assured us that it was okay to take breaks and took the time to share some stories, though I missed most of them since I was ahead. Simon also took photos of us along the way, which was great to look back on after we finished. Reaching the summit of Snowdon was amazing, and Simon helped us capture the moment with more photos. Watching the sunrise from the top was an indescribable experience—one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen. It made me so grateful that the other dates were fully booked, allowing me to witness this special moment with a group of wonderful people. On the way down, Simon took us along a quieter path, different from the route most people use. We even enjoyed a few moments of complete silence, broken only by the occasional bleating of sheep. The descent was much quicker, and when we reached the bottom, we took a few more group photos and said our goodbyes. This hike was an incredible journey—a beautiful, one-day story capped by the most stunning sunrise I've ever seen. The memory of this moment will stay with me forever. A big thank you to Mountain Xperience for this opportunity and to Simon for being an excellent guide, showing us the best of Snowdon.

    For somebody that suffers with multiple disabilities including T1 diabetes and a brain injury - I found this trip to he safe but also incredibly fun! Our guide, Tom was part of one of the mountain rescue teams. We were lucky enough to see him help out with a helicopter rescue on the way down. Highlight of the hike was shouting “f**k you brain tumour” from the summit (Tom helped capture this moment on camera) My brain injury can leave me getting confused easily, struggle to understand instructions etc but Tom made the thing smooth and easily understandable. Tom was very client focused so we definitely felt like we were getting value for money! If you’ve made it this far in, I highly recommend booking with this company!

    The weather was not kind for our trek. But, Hywyn was the most amazing tour guide, knowledgeable and experienced. He made sure that I feel safe and encouraged me to the top when my fear of heights got the better of me. His experience meant that when I felt unable to continue he paced the group and made sure everyone had their own good experiences 😍

We’ll chat to you in advance and ensure you’ve got the right gear for an enjoyable day out. On the day you’ll meet your Snowdon guide at the start point who’ll lead you safely to the summit (and back again!). Along the way they’ll share interesting facts (did you know when Snowdon was originally formed it was six times higher?), teach you some Welsh language (ask them how to pronounce the nearby village of Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll­gogery­chwyrn­drobwll­llan­tysilio­gogo­goch) and tell bad jokes (how do you know what the weather’s like at the top of a mountain? You climb-it (climate – get it?)).
