Sofia is the perfect city for a walking tour on a nice day. Our guide was friendly and very informative. The weather was perfect and our tour was a full three hours. It could’ve been a different experience in bad weather, or if we had difficulty walking. we highly recommend this tour.

Nikolay was a great guide for our time in Sofia - very knowledgable, polite and accommodating. We took the private city walking tour on our first day and then day trips to Plodkiv and Rila Monestary. All in all a great experience that provided exposure to the capital, the scenic landscape and some historic sights. Nikolay was able to answer almost all of our questions and would highlight key points of interest that many visiting tourists would overlook.

Our tour guide spoke good English and was very knowledgeable about Bulgarian history. He explained things well. We started at the Natural History Museum, which is housed in an ornate building built by the communists when they were in power in Bulgaria after World War II. We then saw many other churches, all different, including a Mosque on our walking tour in central Sofia.
