    The Basilica was breathtaking, the detail inside is 2nd to none. My wife is a wheelchair user and the staff were fantastic in letting us come in through the rear of the church the only downside was that once we were in we were not told of where to get any information on the church or how to get the audio tour, I later had to figure out where to get the leaflet (at the front door). Once we had the leaflet telling what was what inside the church we enjoyed exploring it a lot more.

    Re submitted. - Booked through Tripadvisor and the local company answered my initial questions about opening times on Sundays. The Basilica sits above the local buildings and can clearly be seen from Buda Castle over the river. Inside its stunning, elaborate details, red marble walls, high ceiling, column's and the vast decorated dome. We spent a lot of time looking round, well worth the visit. - The only downside was our booking documents said we also had access to the panoramic dome lookout, but when we attempted to go to it a member of staff scanned our ticket and said we didn't have that access, because of the language difference I couldn't challenge her. Later I checked and confirmed the email and receipts I was sent said the panoramic lookout was part of my ticket. I believed that's what I paid for based on the advert, but the ticket I was sent only said "Adult Church Entry Ticket". I emailed the company to ask if they sent me the wrong ticket but they never replied to this question. Something to be aware of as I printed my ticket before flying and didn't read it in detail.

    Saint Stephen’s Basilica’s interior is impressive! The marble columns topped with gold capitals, the fine artistry of the dome, intricate craftsmanship of the golden wall lights, altar, apse, paintings and more are astounding!

    Sound for tour is a download which requires headphones or earbuds. They don't tell you this so we just walked through. Also to get to the Treasury you have to climb over 100 steps. You can get to the terrace by elevator. Church is beautiful but the price for a self guided with no audio is high. We saw one person using the audio. Guessing they were like us and not aware.

    Sold us a tour with tix that didn’t get us into the Basilica….even though it clearly states in the ‘what’s included’ the entrance to the main area of the church was included as well as the Terrace and Treasury (which we were able to do). After waiting in a couple lines (so much for skip the lines) a supervisor there told us there’s a problem with this company because they’d had the same issue with other people. I’ve emailed them for a partial refund….no response. Save your money….don’t do it.
