    The employee where lovely the tasting was knowledgeable but the beach need a better something for person to actually enjoy the beach and to relax.

    I'm almost reluctant to leave a review here, in case Stade's Rum Tasting becomes TOO popular, thanks to all the plaudits. But review it I must, because the staff were simply exceptional and the whole experience was so well thought through. We were treated like royalty on arrival and this welcoming atmosphere continued throughout the day. The rum tasting was fun - with just the right amount of information (for us at least!). Its setting is simply spectacular; a bar counter overlooking golden white sands and clear blue sea. The bar food & drink service was very efficient and we really enjoyed our lunch. Hopefully the menu will broden slightly as guest numbers increase, but it's always better to do a few things well, than over-stretch & disappoint. We loved our afternoon on the beach which was beautiful, very clean & almost deserted whilst we were there. If you look to the horizon left & right, it's a more industrialised landscape than some. But staring out at sea from the chairs supplied (included in the price), or swimming in the clear warm water, this really didn't bother us at all. The clean showers, loos & changing rooms were a really great touch, enabling you to make the most of all the facilities & enjoy a very comfortable full day on the beach. There's a wide selection of rums and distillery-related merchandise in the gift shop. A few are exclusive, but most were available in the larger supermarkets at similar (in some cases lower) prices. It would have been better - and would probably encourage more sales - if they offered a slight visitor loyalty discount for buying at source. But maybe that'll follow eventually. All in all. this was certainly one of the highlights of our first trip to Barbados. Not that we tried any others, but if you're thinking of doing a rum distillery tour whilst you're here, look no further than Stade's.

    I had such a great time at the rum distillery trying out the different stades rums. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Really enjoyed having a tour with her. The biggest perk of this tour is having the beach experience afterwards. The food was really tasty and of course the drinks were amazing. I’d highly recommend. I can’t wait to do it again on my next visit to barbados :)

    Best rum I've ever had. First tried Plantation rum at the Crop Over Rum Punch event, it was so good we had to check out the distillery. The other rums we tasted were even more delicious. This distillery doesn't get as much attention as other ones on the island, but it is the best by far and highly underrated!

    Fantastic rums to try with a lovely back drop of the sea. Excellent guide Saraih gave an interesting description of each rum with loads of enthusiasm. Ramon the manager of the property, originally from the Hilton, their loss, was also on hand engaging with our group of friends making the afternoon very enjoyable. After the tasting there is a fabulous beach and plenty of rum cocktails to try! The rums must be tried, less well known than Mount Gay but far superior in my opinion!
