If you enjoy trekking and immersing yourself in nature, Stara Plana is a must. Through this excursion, I had the opportunity to truly enjoy myself and immerse in the natural beauty and local culture.
Milena, my guide, took me to Stara Plana. There, I had the chance to experience the beauty of the small but majestic Rosomacki Lonci - a unique canyon that seemingly appears out of nowhere, the picturesque Tupavica Waterfall near the village of Dojkinci, standing about 25 meters high with ice patches still visible, making it even more captivating. We also visited Izvor Vrelo, an enchanting and crystal-clear nature preserve, and a small Christian Orthodox Monastery nestled among the mountain rocks of a quaint little village. Along the way, we made several stops to admire breathtaking panoramas, and I was fortunate to catch sight of some horses roaming about.
Being wintertime, the scenery I witnessed was not lush green, however there is beauty in every season and thus nature's beauty never dissappoints.
If you want to relax, and get away from.the hustle and bussle of everyday life, than search no-more. This is an amazingly authentic experience not to be missed. I highly recommend it.

Bane took us on this tour and on another one called Nature Break. He showed us the area, and also hard to reach places that are inaccessible by bus or taxi!
He also took time to introduce us to villagers who welcomed us in their lovely homes. One lady was a honey maker, who offered us Raki in her garden under the shade of trees. Another couple welcomed us in their home in an uninhabited village.
Furthermore he took us to good eateries, and took the time to introduce us to different foods.
All in all he surpassed our expectations every single time, the wow factor, the little surprises and last but not least the music in the car.

We expected to see some nice sights on the mountains near Nis when we booked this day tour, but ended up getting so much more! Our guide, Bane, was warm and friendly and so knowledgable about the hidden gems of this area. He communicated professionally and made the experience fun for our whole family of 4. He's a great driver and not afraid to take you off the usual path to see something spectacular. We saw villages, natural wonders, waterfalls and experienced the warm hospitality of this region at its best. This tour is a great value and you will see wonders of nature, eat some of the best food Europe has to offer and be guided by an interesting and friendly local person. This is an opportunity like few others.
