Sunset E-Foil Experience in Tanjung Aru Beach

The feelings I had when the board left the water, when all the splashing water sounds disappeared and I only heard the wind while floating towards the sunset, ranged from exhilaration to serenity and everything in between!!! We did the 1 hour experience and managed to fly and my friend managed to stand… so if you are not familiar with surfing and other water sports , I recommend to do the 2 hour so that you get the hang of it and improve your chance of flying.. it’s worth it! The coaches and staff are great taking you through different stages of comfort and ability as well as looking out for your safety. We also paid extra to get videos of us and that was worth it too…. especially the moments that are caught when you elevate above the water and it looks like you are floating towards the sunset! Can’t wait to do it again when I get a chance!

Custom tailored experience: The last thing you want to do is organise an activity based holiday. They tailored my water sports activites to suit me, relieving the burden. They provided clear suggestions and also ensured if the conditions weren't safe/suitable that they provide alternatives.  Kitesurfing: Kitesurf instructors in Waterfly Borneo have been exceptional. They have a strong passion for kitesurfing and this is visible in every conversation and lesson you have with them.  Abidin and Ken were my kite instructors, started off with Abidin who has been kiting for a very long time. He's trained most visitors and most of the local Kite surfer community that reside in Kota Kinabalu. He's a great friendly kite surfer and instructor, who explains everything to ensure you get the best and safest experience to continue kite surfing.  Ken the IKO Certified kiteboard instructor. Very experienced and ensuring you progress as fast and safe as possible. He strives to see you progress during his lessons and ensures that the wind conditions are right for the lesson. He provides a well structured, methodical training. Being IKO certified trainer, he can provide you the progession tracker, which is available through the IKO app. This can be shown to the next IKO Certified instructor, when you continue your journey in the future. E-foiling: E-foiling! What an experience, it's a must-do activity. One hour isn't enough, need to do 2 hours at least. I did the 2 hour sunset video experience and the lads running it were top notch. Corrective guidance and instructions given to improve, whilst also ensuring you have fun! Sabah: Sabah is a hidden gem, a must-see with beautiful waters, and a place where cultures from around the world come together and live in harmony Knowledge and contacts: Waterfly Borneo only partner with other firms looking to provide the best customer experience during their holiday. I wanted to do other activities which they were more than happy to organise. Including but not limited to a one day scuba diving experience. Last but not least, the Kinabalu Yacht Club – the place where I met the most welcoming water adrenaline junkies! During my time here as a solo traveler, they enhanced my experience of the watersports community and the friends you can make along the way. The committee at the Kinabalu Yacht Club is warm and friendly. You cannot feel out of place, even if you tried. This is thanks to all the friends and committee members of the Kinabalu Yacht Club.

It was an amazing experience, the instructor was incredible, courteous and knowledgeable, The experience was unique! Any adventurous person will love it.

This was the ultimate activity we tried in KK. The operators at Waterfly Borneo were fun, professional and safety was their number one priority. Our instructor Fit had us standing and flying on our boards in our first lesson and wife was ecstatic! We are already planning our next trip back to KK just to do efoiling!!
