Longshan Temple
Old Street Historical Culture Tour Traditional Market, Temple Faith, Traditional Architecture
The original site of the memorial hall was the Army Headquarters, which was the largest military area in Taipei City at that time. It is said that the gold transported from the mainland was once stored in this place. The blue and white colors used in the memorial hall are the main colors on the national flag. The sky dome on the top of the memorial hall is decorated with 12 rays of light in the blue sky and white sun. The bronze statue faces west to the Presidential Palace and mainland China, all of which have special meanings. With the development of democracy and the opening of the mind, the square in front of the memorial hall has become a meeting place for the democratic movement. On the hour, you can watch the handover of the guards of the three armies on the fourth floor
The Grand Hotel Museum
Century Golden Dragon Originally, the copper dragon was only set up in front of the Taiwan shrine. When the Yuanshan Hotel was built, the original appearance was specially preserved, and it was perfectly presented in the Golden Dragon Restaurant. During the renovation in 1976, it was plated with 24K gold, especially this one Beaulieu has only three claws, which is different from the traditional Chinese four- or five-clawed dragons. Plum caisson There is a caisson in the shape of a plum blossom in the central ceiling of the lobby of the Grand Hotel. Five golden dragons surround a dragon ball in the center of the plum blossom, which means "five blessings come to the door". It means rising step by step, and "16" accompanied by the big plum blossom "hair", it means a way to grow. The plum blossom caisson symbolizes the prosperity of dragon and phoenix, which has far-reaching significance. cornice bucket arch The cornices and bucket arches on the roof reveal the ancient civilization of China. Above the vertical ridge is a row of squatting beasts, occupying the protruding cornices. The owl tail placed between the main ridge and the vertical ridge is a kind of tile-made animal-shaped decoration; while under the roof, the gorgeous but delicate and powerful bucket arch structure, This is the most amazing hall of Chinese architecture. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors in the lobby The large floor-to-ceiling glass windows at the main entrance of the Grand Hotel are elegant and upright, but if you look closely at the patterns painted on the door, you will find six ancient characters "Long Live the Republic of China" hidden in it, which traces back to the time and space background when the Grand Hotel was rebuilt , we can see the transformation of time and space background, and the designer's ingenuity in creation. Shi Gandang On the large stone stele erected at the entrance of the stone steps in front of the archway, there are four cursive scripts inscribed by Mr. Yu Youren himself, with dragons flying and phoenixes dancing. The entire Yuanshan means holy land, and because of this, Yuanshan has maintained its lofty status of popularity for a hundred years.

Jiufen Old Street
Jiufen, which was rich in gold mines in the early days, was known as the "Golden Mountain City". The settlement was prosperous due to the influx of gold diggers, and then became quiet after the decline of the gold rush. In the late 1980s, the movie "A City of Sadness" came to Jiufen for filming. Jiufen's beauty of mountains and seas, retro architecture and unique slope landscape jumped onto the big screen, becoming a beautiful mountain city that fascinates domestic and foreign tourists. Jiufen Small Shop in the Crooked Alley Jiufen Old Street slowly ascends along the hillside. The narrow streets gather all kinds of shops, and the traditional food is fragrant. You must try Jiufen’s classic snacks such as taro balls, meat balls, and grass cakes, as well as small and cute antique toys. Commemorative gifts with Taiwanese characteristics bring tourists a wide range of shopping options. Visitors can explore the winding alleys of Jiufen and appreciate the beauty of Jiufen from different angles. Walk into teahouses and theaters and feel the cultural charm of Jiufen If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of people and want to take a rest, you might as well walk into teahouses and tea art houses to learn about tea drinking culture and exquisite tea sets. You can also taste tea with pastries and enjoy quiet and quiet time. You can also step into the first theater in Jiufen—Shengping Theater. The retro ticket gate, old movie posters and sales department display in the theater present the theater style of the 1960s. It is worth visiting for tourists to experience the atmosphere of the old movie theater.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
