Together with five of my lady colleagues from Turkey, for attending to an international World congress, we went to Cusco and certainly, wanted to visit Machu Picchu as well while we were there, simply forgetting or even not being even aware of, we faced to a restiction for the block of daily visitors count. While struggling hopelessly for facing to a miracle, being allowed to be permitted among various rail and other related companies, all of a sudden that miracle appeared invisibly, namely Ms. Hillary Valencia of Inca Rail, from web assistance department, who generated enormous success and a simply perfect assistance for letting us experience, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Great experience what so ever, Machu Picchu, especially together with the extra ordinary performance of Inca Rail… Thoroughly beautiful… Thank You Inca Rail, however more personal appreciations to Ms. Hillary Valencia, for letting us experience one of a life time event! It was such a beautiful experience traveling with Inca Rail. Everything was very well organized and on time. I really enjoyed the playback of Ollantay , it was something different and entertaining. I would also like to highlight that Jhade Anaya took excellent care of us, always with kindness and a smile. The performance was also very beautiful, which made the trip feel even more special. Thank you for making our journey such a pleasant memory.

recently went on the Peru Rail Machu Picchu and want to let people know about the absolutely terrible experience that was had while on the observational train (return trip) which is supposed to be a fun Peruvian experience. What has to be the nature of the business structure (commission based for the servers/attendants) the ride was essentially an infomercial for over-priced Alpaca clothing which involved the train attendants doing their best model strut down the aisles to try selling the product. I was woken up and bumped numerous times while this occurred. It had all the feels of a timeshare presentation with none of the free aspects which lasted close to 45 minutes. Additionally, we had to wait for an additional 10-15 minutes while some person bought one of the over-priced items holding up the train of over 200 people while they tried to find the item in his size. But to further ruin the ride, the attendants directed all of their attention to a child and family that were loud, rude and promoting drinking for a kid which had to be under the age of ten. Not only did the attendants give the kid a bag of the free pisco sour, the parents were allowing him to pour shots and bang shot glasses together while the male attendant was egging him on. All while 9/14 people were trying to sleep from their long day. I expect to see bad parenting from time to time but I certainly don't think someone wearing a Peru Rail uniform would promote underage drinking to children without a commission based business structure. Further, the other American sitting next to us had to ask for their change of over $40 dollars multiple times and had to demand it before their stop while being ignored. All well the attendant continued to offer them drinks and promote further spending money that they asked for returned. This happened to me and my friend as well but to a lesser extent as my friend speaks fluent spanish. This hardly felt like Peruvian culture but instead felt like we were being forced to experience something the majority of people did not want while paying $230+ for the ride. I'd hope to not get an apology for the experience as this is clearly by design by Peru Rail. But I hope to issue a warning to other passengers to skip this so-called Peruvian experience.

Our trip with Inca Rail’s 360° Machu Picchu train was truly incredible – the views were breathtaking, the train was spotless and comfortable, and the whole experience felt magical. Huge shoutout to Bryan for his outstanding service! He was so kind, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of the entire ride. He truly made the journey even more special. Highly recommend this experience – a perfect and unforgettable way to get to Machu Picchu!

I booked the Train with "Live Music" as I have done previously. Usually there is an elegant carriage where you can sit and watch the violinist or guitar player Live. On this occasion we were ushered into a bare carriage having to stand where a guy sitting on a stool was miming to Latin Disco music playing loudly on his speaker! This was not what we paid for and a con. I also booked the Guide Service, I was told the guide would meet us at the train station when we arrived at Aguas Calientes. instead a young women was there taking whatsapp numbers. I asked for the details of the guide. I was not provided with these details until we were heading up in the bus - finally I paid for another guide to take us around the site of Machu Picchu. What Happened to Inca Rail??

Machu Picchu is an Inca city surrounded by temples, platforms and water channels, built on the top of a mountain. Its construction was built with large blocks of stone joined together, without the use of amalgam. It is considered a cultural heritage of humanity as it is recognized as an important political, religious and administrative center of the Inca period. In order to visit Machu Picchu, Inca Rail has three starting points: The San Pedro stations in Cusco, Poroy and Ollantaytambo from which you can board the train of your choice bound for the Machu Picchu Pueblo station. Likewise, it offers its Bimodal service which combines a trip in the exclusive bus, departing from Av. El Sol 843 to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Available all year round. Between January and April it is suggested to leave with the Bimodal service because due to weather conditions it will not be possible to leave from the San Pedro and Poroy train stations.
