Glorietta Bay Inn

The Glorietta Bay Inn was originally built in 1908 as the mansion home of John D. Spreckels, a wealthy businessman and sugar baron who significantly contributed to the development of both Coronado and San Diego. Spreckels commissioned architect Harrison Albright to design the mansion in 1906, with construction completed in 1908 at a cost of $35,000.

Since 1932, our members have validated their passion for yachting and boating through their Corinthian spirit – a principle the club was built upon. With over 1,200 members, the club offers world-class regattas, one-design racing, fine and casual dining experiences as well as live music and private events. Members and guests of CYC and reciprocal yacht clubs delight in visiting our historical yacht club to gaze upon a glorious bay view and reveling in its long-standing traditions and camaraderie.
