What to expect
The Acropolis Museum is a Greek archaeological museum located about 300 m south of the acropolis. It is one of the main archaeological museums in Athens and is also considered one of the most important in the world.
The Temple of Athena Niké or Nique, or Victorious Athena commemorates the victory over the Persians in the battle of Salamis. The idea of its construction in the Acropolis of Athens arose in 449 a. C., after peace with the Persians.
It is a temple with an unusual design dedicated to Erechtheum or Cécrope, a being half man and half snake, who, according to legend, was the first king of Athens.
