    The Porto Essentials was a unique experience. Pedro took us to the most incredible places to have wonderful wine and amazing food. Not only that, he is also a hell of a guide and host. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to experience the heart of Porto in a very unique way!

    When you immigrate, it can take a long time to feel at home again, but knowing more about the culture and history of the place where you live helps a lot in this process! You get closer to people and start to value the traditions, local food, and increase your sense of belonging! At least for me it works that way! That’s why the Tour Porto Essentials was so special, taught us more about the typical dishes of the city of Porto, its traditions and even more presented us with great wines that go super well with these same dishes! All in a Walking Tour where we pass through 5 to 6 restaurants and classic (and new tb classics!) of the city! We really loved the experience and recommend it 100%! ❤️

    Wonderful tour with awesome surprises! We tried traditional Portuguese cuisine followed by great history about Portugal and its great culture, and great wines, of course. Pedro is great and provides us an excellent experience. It’s a tour to eat, drink, learn and share moments. Loved it and highly recommend it!

    It was a great experience! I have lived in Porto for 3 years and feel like I truly knew the city after the Tour Porto Essentials! Knowing the history of every corner we passed and being able to taste dishes and wines knowing the history behind it, was amazing!!! I highly recommend to those who moved to Porto and especially to the Tourists who, like me, love to know the history of the places where they pass! Moreover, Pedro is a great company, which makes the Tour even better! I did with my friends and want to do it again with my family!!

    Me and my husband went to visit Porto city for the first time this year. At the first day of our visit we had the pleasure to experience "Pedro & the Wine" gastronomic tour. What an unique experience! In a friendly environment, we experienced several local restaurants, diversified food and type of regional wines, always with his complete explanation about the food, the wines, and connecting it all to the portuguese culture. He also presented the Porto city and Douro region (in another day tour). It was a rich cultural experience and I'm glad we started the trip with this excursion through Porto essencials with Pedro. I super recommend it to couples and group of friends.

    This PORTO ESSENTIALS FOOD TOUR has been designed for small groups (eight persons max.), to offer a deep insight into the daily food habits of Porto citizens and explore an amazing set of flavours that will let you lick your fingers during the six different stages of the tour. From the most tender "Rojão" (pork meat cooked in low heat for hours), to the best "Pataniscas" in town (codfish cakes), and even a cheese and wine tasting inside an old church transformed into a wine bar, this wine & food tour will guide you through a fantastic and unexpected wine & food experience that you won't forget. The goal of this experience was to share and show a little of my daily habits inside the traditional "Petiscos" houses (finger and shared food restaurants), and the secrets behind Portuguese wine & food pairings that I used to enjoy inside these places. You will live a gastronomic and cultural experience at the same time you learn about history topics and how they influence Porto and Portugal's wine & food traditions, guided by a wine lover and expert who loves to share their passion for his customs. The tour ends with a traditional Portuguese dinner a sweet gift from Pedro & o Vinho.
