    We really enjoyed looking out for the planets and stopping to read about them and take a selfie. Our young one got really excited seeing them and wanting to learn about the planets. We sadly didn’t get to do all of them as we didn’t have time to head to Siding Spring observatory but hopefully one day we will be along the hway again and we will make the trip out. Our only negative was there wasn’t any signs to tell you it was coming up or part of that rest stop so we tended to have to u-turn as we would pass the rest stop and see it. Would be nice if an extra tourist sign was added to the rest stop sign maybe stating virtual solar system.

    Fascinating and engaging looking out for planets. Would be great for small children on a long drive. Starting at the observatory and you'll be amazed by the distances

    Tricky to get it going. I needed to go deep into my phone app to change settings but this wasn't obvious. Tricky to navigate. We followed the red line but the app said we were lost. Commentary was interesting.

    A fun activity on the drive in and out of Coonabarabran that provides a sense of the size of our solar system. Billboards are generally easy to spot. Missed Uranus of all things.

    Directions from Information Centre in Coonabarabran to first stop “Saturn” on the right didn’t tell us to stop there and then turn back towards Coonabarabran. We continued 45km towards Narrabri (110km) and lost interest so turned around and abandoned the trip. Only seeing later that you had to double back into Coonabarabran. We ended up driving to Siding Springs ourselves.
