What to expect
The Gate of the Sun is a megalithic solid stone arch or gateway constructed by Tiwanaku Culture.
Pumapunku, which translates to the Doorway of the Puma, is best known for its massive stones and for the extraordinary precision of their cutting and placement.
Puma Punku is a terraced earthen mound that is faced with blocks. It is 167.36 metres wide along its north–south axis and 116.7 metres long along its east–west axis.
