It was very easy to book this with TripAdvisor and the free cancellation gave us a lot of peace of mind.
This was a very friendly and well run operation. Our operator Ludovico kept us informed of everything and was super helpful and quick to answer with our questions.
Now on to the tour… our guide Diego was the best! We were a small group of 6 and he made sure we all felt welcome. Mt Etna is spectacular and Diego took us to a number of less busy sites where we felt we had a better view of the mountain than others at the more popular spots! We also did a small expedition into a lava tube which was very interesting, and a short tasting of wine and honey on the way back from the mountain. Finally, Diego dropped us off at our requested stop and gave us some suggestions on other things to see and food to eat.
Overall this was a fantastic experience - we cannot fault it and it was great value for money. Thank you Ludovico and especially thank you to Diego for a great half day on Mt Etna!

This tour was amazing because our tour guide, Monica, was the best tour guide we’ve ever had! She was so knowledgeable and so clearly passionate about “the mountain” and sharing her knowledge of Mt Etna, not only as a volcano, but as an integral part of life in Catania. She made the tour so interesting! She went above and beyond our expectations! In addition to being an engaging and expert guide, she was also very considerate with extra effort to ensure our comfort, and that she was tailoring the tour to keep it fun and interesting for us! If we could give Monica more than 5 stars, we would! My husband and I travel a lot, and we highly recommend this tour - and make sure you request Monica!
