    My family did the tour from Malindi to Robinson Island and Marafa Hell's Kitchen. We were picked up from our resort. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride through the various towns to get to Robinson Island. We saw how salt from the Indian Ocean is harvested, we crossed a bridge, looked down into the river below and saw hippopotamus in the river, there were several traffic jams with cattle and goats crossing the roads. The canoe ride crossing to get to Robinson Island was loads of fun because the gentleman ferrying the passengers sings African songs the entire trip there and back. The seafood lunch was very good. There is enough time spent on the island to walk down to the beach to splash in the Indian Ocean. We visited Marafa Hell's Kitchen late in the day to avoid the excessive heat of the canyon. The canyon is absolutely beautiful. It is amazing that the canyon formations are sand and not rock, as I have thought. You can not be frighten of heights to take the walk down into the canyon. The walk back out if quite a hike. We had an amazing full-day of activities and was conveniently dropped of back at our resort in time for our 7:00pm dinner reservation.

    Leaving Watamu early, we quickly pass Malindi, skirting the salt flats, then we cross a mangrove (by boat or on foot if the water is not too high), and we arrive on a large white beach, alone at world ! or almost because next to it there is a small hut under the trees, with hammocks and mattresses as you wish, which prepares you a good lunch of local fish and shellfish, very nice! Little nap lulled by the waves and we leave for the Marafa canyon, where we emerge on another planet, the devil's kitchen with all its spices, in a painting where ochres, greens and the blue of the sky mingle, magnificent ! The sunset is divine!

    Very well organized excursion in terms of times and distances, Giovanni accompanied us throughout the day with professionalism and kindness, together with a driver, telling us how daily life goes, taking us for a walk in the Malindi market, meeting those who live in the Shamba villages. We met the gazes of many people, all welcoming and kind, and many children who gave us smiles and a joy, a desire for life, which we will hardly forget. We then visited the Akamba wood factory, where artisans build objects using traditional methods, we had lunch with excellent food on Robinson Island, and ended with a visit to the Hell's Kitchen canyon in Marafa. Trust Giovanni, he is serious, honest, reliable and kind. Tip: don't forget to bring with you clothing, school supplies, food and anything you think might be useful for children, but also for adults... they really need it.

    Wonderful trip! Giovanni is a truly kind and helpful person. He managed to satisfy us with every request and made our day special! The guys who take you on the boat are very knowledgeable, friendly and know how to make you have fun while still leaving you time to relax. The food was the best I have eaten in Kenya, very fresh fish and lots of lobsters. Eating in the middle of the sea on the boat and then diving into the crystal clear sea of Jacaranda Beach (Sardinia 2) is an unforgettable experience. I recommend 100%

    We spent 15 unforgettable days with Giovanni. He organized everything perfectly, safaris, excursions of all kinds, blue safari, village visits, our 7 year old daughter loved it.     Nothing similar is found in all of Africa. It is a large canyon, formed in the Pliocene period, surrounded by very high vertical walls with reddish spiers and stone pillars that reach even 30 meters in height. Hell's Kitchen, which is commonly called Nyari by the locals, (the place that breaks itself) was originally a sandstone place. It was mainly the erosion of rain and wind over the millennia that transformed it into the surreal canyon: a unique miracle of nature, even according to several of the most authoritative geologists on the planet. Visit on foot inside the canyon. The best time to visit it is towards sunset, the rocks take on different colors ranging from white, pink, orange to red.
