    Gimhana was a really good Safariguide. He was flexible with the organization and always a fast answer. He knew a lot about the animals and where to Drive to See the different animals.

    Very nice experience in udawalawe national park. We saw many kind of animals with the lots of elephants and kind of birds.Our driver chamara was really nice and explained a lot to us about the elephants.we certainly recommend this safari tour in udawalawe national park.

    Our safari was a great experience. Our guide Gimhana is very friendly and knows where to find all the animals you want to see. I recommend this park and guide 100%. We saw lots of wildlife from exotic birds to crocodiles. I really like it :)

    We went on safari with Gimhana on september. Better attention was paid to animal welfare and wildlife diversity. He had so much knowledge to share about the animals and the park - we asked him a lot and he was always insightful.

    Udawalawe Dam

    The Udawalawe Dam is a large irrigation dam in Udawalawe, in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. The dam consists of an embankment section and a gravity section, combining the total dam length to approximately 3.9 km (2.4 mi). The dam is also used for hydroelectric power generation, powering two 2 MW units, commissioned in April 1969. The water level of the reservoir is controlled by the five tainter gate spillways located at the eastern end of the dam, with two additional spillways located towards the centre of the dam. The reservoir measures approximately 8.6 km (5.3 mi) in length, with a maximum perpendicular width of 7 km (4.3 mi).
