    Great tour walking around old colonial Lima where we came across a religious procession for a famous saint, with bands playing, fireworks and the incense in the air. Lucky to have seen this as very interesting and enjoyed walking around the main square with the Presidential Palace and Archbishop's Palace and the beautiful Cathedral.

    I’m about to embark on a trip to Peru. I contacted a few travel companies in Peru deciding finally on using Machu Travel Peru. I emailed this company detailing the 6 days I had in Peru with my wishes., stating from the start I was a solo traveller. They came back with 2 quotes one for luxury accommodation the other superior both with the same excursions included The Sacred Valley and of course Machu Picchu, the difference being accommodation. First quote $2059 superior second $2225 luxury. I opted for the luxury. The paperwork for these quotes was emailed through and I happened to notice for accommodation it stated at the top 1x double or twin room . At bottom of page it stated 01 Single Room. Therefore I contacted Machu Travel Peru as I was a little confused. I then received another email this time with another quote stating superior $2073 luxury $3225, superior up by $14 and luxury up $1000. Now I’m really baffled. I actually spoke with the representative Alvaro whose English was not good. He kept apologising for his mistake saying I quoted for double room, well explain why superior has only increased by $14 oh I forgot to add some tickets. Fortunately no money passed hands Do Not Touch this company!!! It appears they won Travel Company Award for 2018/19/20 and advertise this. My experience was nothing but UNPROFESSIONAL.

    Jorge provided an informative tour of the San Francisco Convent and Catacombs Museum. His demeanour was great and it was affordable. We would gladly book him again for another City Walking Tour.

    The Plaza de Armas de Lima, is one of the most traditional starting points. In it, Francisco Pizarro (re) founded Lima according to guidance of King Charles I of Spain. After the foundation the buildings were made according to the purpose: outdoor market, bull square and place of execution of the convicted for political and/or religious reasons.

    We paid US$75 for two Met Jorge and he gave us history of Plaza de Armas then walked to Casa Aliaga which can only be visited by guide 35 soles each entry he gave us an excellent history of the house We then visited the Church of San Francisco 20 soles each with the catacombs it is much better in a small group He also showed the wall area near the Rinsc River total time 2.5 hours

    Barranco is a bohemian area located in the South area of Lima, it is very close to Miraflores neighborhood. It's a very nice area and it has a nice Plaza, we can visit the Bridge of Sighs and you have a nice view of the ocean.
