We went to the Gospel and brunch tour guided by the amazing Carolyn. The tour was interesting fun and informative, the gospel service was extremely beautiful and emotional. Carolyn is so cool and knowledgeable and we had the best of time with her. Highly recommended.

Harlem was transformed from a one dimension place, to a vibrant community. i was very impressed with the tour guide. Caroline has lived in the neighborhood and was able to share the community in a live and vibrate way. It was interesting to see history and daily events through her words.

Jonathan was an excellent guide. Good pace for our group of 6. Thank goodness we were split from the group of 20+ high school students or it would have been very difficult to keep a good pace or hear well. Walking Harlem, hearing the history, seeing the architecture was terrific. Jonathan’s story telling and engagement/enthusiasm was great. The Bethal church experience was very moving.

Friendly guide, small group, it gave us a sneak peak to the history of Harlem. Real experience during the mass in the church.

Very poor show of góspel . It was like the pastors were there for asking for donations. 10 min of singing..and a lot of speachs..we didn’t stay for the brunch. As a lot of turists, we left after a while. I don’t recomand the tour..

Carolyn, was very knowledgeable and personable. Our group was small which allowed her time to interact with each one of us. We could hear clearly the information. She reassured me the pace of walking would be ok for my husband with his cane and it was. The church experience (high praise) for my husband and I was like being at our home church. We were especially excited about this part of the tour. Then the choice for our meal at the Cafe Latte in the neighborhood was a great finale. Everyone in the group said, they enjoyed their food. Everyone was given a copy of the group pictures.

Such an impressive and memorable tour. And thanks to Debby (our guide) for her interesting stories and knowledge about the burrow.

This tour was the best experience during our New York stay. Carolyn, who has lived in Harlem for a number of years, is very knowledgeable and can tell many interesting stories and anecdotes about the area and historical places you pass on the tour. The service was also a nice experience. Highly recommended.

Sitting at lunch with our guide, Carolyn, and a family heading home to Norway the next day, evolved into one of the most interesting conversations I've had on a vacation. It came after the walking tour through the history of Harlem (which was nothing like I imagined!) as well as a visit to a local church with jubilant voices singing praise. Starting at the Apollo and ending near beautiful historical homes and a thriving community, the tour felt comprehensive. Carolyn's understanding of the history of Harlem, and her excellent story-telling, made for a number of comparisons regarding race in America and other countries. That evolved to lively discussion among the seven of us on taxes, hardships, and the future of our worlds. I wanted to learn more about Harlem and I did. But mostly, I came away with an appreciation for this guide, her work and its contribution to the understanding of this community in the larger sphere of preserving the stories of Americans... Thank you, Carolyn!
