We looked at the ruins through the gate because it was SHUT on Mondays! Alex Paolini, the kind and helpful driver, was not troubled by this in any way. He took me to Frascati, one of the Roman hill towns I had always wanted to see, with its gentle, traditional way of life, old people meeting for a stroll under the trees, morning coffee, clothes shops. There was nothing I felt obliged to see, no famous ruins.

Alex was very informative, happy and a great driver. I would recommend him to families who are travelling. He has a great energy and a great personality. Friendly, approachable and knows his stuff around Rome. Very happy with it all.

We had a fabulous trip to Ostia Antica. Claudio was an excellent driver we felt very safe and he looked after us very well. Excellent recommendations and even returned a jacket which we left behind. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Claudio picked us up on time from the cruise port, and allowed us to make several stops before driving us to Ostia Antica Archeological Park. We spent several hours exploring this large early completely excavated site, which is lesser known than Pompeii but very much worth a visit. Afterwards he suggested a great local trattoria for a seafood lunch and then delivered us to our hotel. Claudio was a safe, efficient and thoughtful driver. We could not have been in better hands!

Alex Paolini our tour guide was amazing! On time, polite, and very informative. Our ride was pleasant and we especially enjoyed our time at Ostia Antica. Alex was kind too to make us a lunch reservation at a beautiful seaside restaurant, La Vecchia Pineta. Lunch was delicious! We can’t thank him enough for a perfect last day in Roma. Check it out, only an hour outside of the city, less people, very relaxing tour. Ciao!

It was a great experience for us to have as driver Alexander, who is a kind and very polite person. He drove us to Ostia archaeological site and waited for us to have a tour, afterwards he took us to a wonderful restaurant by the sea and he even tried to find for us a tourist shop for souvenirs. It was so relaxing to be picked up from the hotel and to be returned there. I suggest this to everyone.

The private tour from Rome to Ostia-Antica was a great experience, a journey into the Roman past that could hardly be better - a must see. We enjoyed the four hours there - the driver and car were very good. At the end of the tour, Alex, the driver, gave great tips for lesser-known highlights in Rome. The only thing - it was relatively expensive - but a great experience.
