Fatima was born and raised in Zahlé, Lebanon, a city known for its vineyards and traditional architecture. At the age of 24, she moved to Toronto with her husband, Jihad, seeking new opportunities and a more stable future. While it wasn't easy leaving her family and familiar surroundings, she was determined to build a good life for herself. Fatima initially worked in retail while taking courses in marketing. She now works as a Marketing Coordinator at a local firm, balancing her career with raising her daughter, Lina. Writing for Evendo is a passion project, allowing her to share her love for travel and her unique perspective as a Lebanese expat in Canada.

    One of my most cherished travel experiences was exploring the souks of Marrakech. The vibrant colors, exotic scents, and the energy of the marketplace were simply intoxicating. Getting lost in the labyrinthine alleyways and haggling with local artisans was an unforgettable adventure. I even learned a few basic Arabic phrases, which made the experience even more immersive.

    Lebanon, my birth country, will always hold a special place in my heart. Returning to Zahlé and sharing its beauty and traditions with my family created memories that I will treasure forever. From exploring the ancient ruins of Baalbek to savoring the delicious Lebanese cuisine, every moment felt like a homecoming.

    Capella Bangkok in Thailand is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The service was impeccable, the rooms were luxurious, and the views of the Chao Phraya River were simply stunning. It was an oasis of tranquility in a bustling city, and I can't wait to return.

  • My Adventurous Destination

    Visiting Patagonia, Argentina was the most adventurous trip I've ever taken. Hiking through the rugged mountains and witnessing the breathtaking glaciers was both challenging and awe-inspiring. It felt like being on another planet, a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Seeing the Magellanic penguins was a highlight!

    Rome, without a doubt, is my favorite foodie destination. From the authentic pasta dishes to the delicious gelato, every meal was a culinary delight. Exploring the local markets and trattorias, and indulging in the rich flavors of Italian cuisine, was an absolute pleasure.
