Marie grew up in the serene coastal town of Anse Boileau, Seychelles, surrounded by the vibrant Creole culture and the stunning beauty of the Indian Ocean. After completing her studies, she felt a pull to explore the world beyond her island home. She moved to Bonn, Germany, where she met her husband, Hans. While she enjoys her life in Germany, she deeply misses the laid-back island lifestyle and the warmth of her family back home. My Travel Highlight
One of my most cherished travel memories is when Hans and I volunteered at a marine conservation project in the Maldives. We spent weeks diving and helping to restore coral reefs. It was incredibly rewarding to contribute to the preservation of such a delicate ecosystem, and it deepened my love for the ocean.

The Seychelles will always hold a special place in my heart. Returning to my roots and sharing the beauty of my home islands with Hans was an unforgettable experience. The warmth of the people, the stunning beaches, and the vibrant Creole culture made it the perfect homecoming.

Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru was definitely my most adventurous trip. The high altitude, challenging terrain, and breathtaking views made it an experience I'll never forget. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and showed me the power of perseverance.

Italy, without a doubt, is my favorite foodie destination. From the pasta in Rome to the pizza in Naples and the gelato in Florence, every meal was a culinary delight. I especially enjoyed taking a cooking class in Tuscany and learning to make authentic Italian dishes.
