This Explorers Travel Highlights

  • My Travel Highlight

Hiking through the Cinque Terre in Italy with my husband, Jean-Pierre. The views were breathtaking, and we enjoyed delicious pesto pasta at a small family-owned restaurant overlooking the sea.

  • Favourite Destination

Japan. The culture is so different from anything I've experienced, and I loved the blend of ancient traditions and modern life. The people were incredibly kind and respectful, and I left feeling inspired and refreshed.

  • Best Hotel

Villa Florentine in Lyon. It's a beautifully renovated former convent with elegant rooms and panoramic views of the city. The staff is incredibly friendly, and it's located in the heart of Old Lyon.

  • My Adventurous Destination

The French Alps. Hiking the Chemin de la Mature, with its paths carved into the sheer rock face, was exhilarating!

  • My Food Destination

Lyon, France, of course! Being the gastronomic capital of France, I am surrounded by incredible food. Exploring the bouchons and trying local specialties like quenelle is always a treat.
