Fuelled up and ready to go, I set off to explore the wonders of Pelion. Loukoulos indeed provided a great start to my day. Their kitchen is based on Greek traditional recipes from grandma Flora, and I could taste that.

Next on my itinerary was the Clock Tower. As I approached the village where the tower stood, I couldn't help but feel a sense of stepping back in time. Lunch was at Synantisi, a restaurant in Kissos. Synantisi means meeting in Greek, and this place certainly lived up to its name. I savored traditional spetzofai, giant baked beans, homemade tzatziki and Greek garlic dip, accompanied by a glass of tsipouro. It was the perfect way to refuel after a morning of exploration. Mrs. Ria, daughter of Kostas Karkalas, prepares the appetizers freshly daily. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, a true taste of Greece. As I ate, I chatted with the owners, learning about their family history and their passion for sharing their culinary heritage. Tomorrow, I plan to explore the coastal side of Pelion, with visits to Agii Saranta Beach and Limnionas Beach. I'm also looking forward to unwinding at Nagual Beach Bar in the evening. It's a change of pace, and I'm eager to see what the beaches of Pelion have in store.
